What's In Your Bag?

1. YSL CHYC Inspired bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet, iPhone 4s skull case from Gypsy Warrior, eQuip sunglasses, Mini hair-brush, Lady-Gaga Beats by Dr.Dre, Rosebud Salve lipbalm, Garnier Handcream.
2. Modella Makeup Bag, Bunch of lipsticks (changes according to the day), Kabuki brush, Benefit Pocketpal, Maybelline Masterliners, Dollywink Liquid Liner, Dior Addict hand mirror, MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural, Shu Uemura concealer, Rosebud Salve Lipbalm.

I've always been fascinated as to what people carry in their bags. Call me nosey but I'm just intrigued to see if people carry their whole life necessities around or just the bare minimum. As for me, I like to think I only carry around what I really need. I could probably live without my makeup bag... But then wouldn't it be weird for a girl who makes beauty videos on youtube not to carry around a makeup bag with her? :P

What do you carry around in your bag? I would love to know!

SAX Sultry Eyes Kit, Bobbi Brown Blush in Pink Sand, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Urban Decay 24/7Glide on Pencil, HERA Mineral Multi BB Cream, Lancome #6 Blush Brush

Being extremely bored at 12.21am.. I decided to try out the SAX Sultry Eyes Palette. It's a palette dedicated to creating the perfect classic smokey eye. I love it, and I think the quality of the palette is very nice. It can use with a little bit more pigmentation, but with the amount that it has, it makes it easy not to stuff up.

Just some stuff I picked up after a long day at Uni. I couldn't resist and had to pick up some Dior products. I've been yearning to try some of their lip products for a while and I finally did it. I also picked up a blush from the new limited collection because it was such a pretty pink!

I edited these pictures so they aren't true to close - only so that it won't spoil the review/swatch post later on ^.^

Calvin Klein Eyeshadows

Hello everybody!

This post is long overdue! I've been putting it off because I've been soo.. unmotivate to blog. Ha, as always. :(

Anyhow, I went to lunch with one of my good friends a few weeks back and we popped into Chemist Warehouse. For those of those who don't know what Chemist Warehouse is, it's a chemist that sells stuff for discounted price. Amongst those 'stuff' there are high end and lot end make up products depending on what they carry!

As I was strolling the aisles, I saw a huge board that said "Calvin Klein Makeup - 3 FOR $20!"
So... you can guess what happened next, me - raging the bins/table finding something awesome ;] hehe

I manage to pick out three eyeshadows! I quite liked what I picked and I'm glad I bought then because my friend was standing next to my ear literally telling me NOT to get it hahah >.<
Dangit!

The packaging is quite nice! I really like it. It's clear detailing on the edge is super sleek! The packaging is a little ont he bulkier side, but it's a must for a high end brand I guess. Assumingly CK is a high end fashion brand ^.^

I picked up Lavender Haze, Smokey Grey and Chameleon

Here are some swatches!

DSC_0016
DSC_0018

Chameleon is a beautiful frosty off cream colour. Great for highlight uses. It is a close match to nude/skin color! I'm loving this shade for under brow bone highlight!

DSC_0015

Smokey Grey is a Khaki/grey colour. It has visible silver mini sparkle particles to it. However, once swatched/or applied on the eyes, the sparkle glitter isn't very visible anymore.

DSC_0012
DSC_0013

Lavender Haze, my favorite of the bunch! It's a beautiful purple and it reminds me of the sun setting down. Kind of puts me in a lazy mode also because the color looks so relaxing! It's definitely a cool lilac colour! Me loveeeeee!

DSC_0020

They aren't very pigmented once it's blended out, but I like it that way. It makes it a lot more wearable during the day. Especially the city I live in, where people judge you even when you dress nice, it's hard to wear a face full of makeup and not have people point fingers at you and talking about the amount of colour you've got on your eyes!

Overall, I like the quality of these shadows. They feel very velvety and apply on really smoothly! Definitely a steal for 3 FOR $20!!

Life as it goes on... Finishing off with graduation!

Hello everybody!

I know, I know. It's been a while since I've blogged. People have bugged me left and right to blog more often! But to be completely honest with you, I am seriously stuck on what to blog about. I feel like I've completely lost all my inspiration as to what to blog about. Should I be blogging about my life? Or just purely makeup? lol. I feel like if I blog about my life, the stuff I do and what I eat, I seem to vain, and if I blog purely about makeup.. Well I will run out of things to write about lol.

Anyway, tonight, I officially, finished year 12. I have now completed high school and it seems like just yesterday that I started year 8 (high school).. Somehow it feels a little nostalgic :(

We had an whole school mass and then the graduation was at the end. We received white orchids and our graduate certificate. Hehe

Here are some pictures from the night :)

It was a a beautiful night and I already miss all the girls. As we move on from this chapter of our life, we made sure that we ended the chapter with a beautiful ceremony that will forever stay in our hearts.

To the class of 2010, I truly love you girls. You are all so beautiful in your own way ^_~

That's all for now hehe.

MAC Tartan Collection!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hello everybody!

MAC's Tartan collection is one to look forward to! I'm not sure if you guys have notice, but lately, none of MAC's collection has captured my attention. Not even the Venemous Villains who everyone seems to be crazy about has me interested. I haven't bought anything from MAC or any of MAC's collection since.. In the groove! 2-3 months ago! Haha I'm kind of proud of myself! :P

Anyway, the Tartan collection that has yet to be release, has me stalking it already! I've talked to my MAC girl, and she told me it will be out on the 1st of November.. And guess what else is on that day... MY FIRST EXAM! Damn. I think everything will sold out be the time I get there :( I am however thinking of dropping by MAC before my exam since my exam doesn't start till 1.30pm. BUT I highly doubt that would happen. Bleh.

I'm not sure what date the collection is to be release else where, 1st of Nov is just for Australia.. I think. :S

Anyway, what I really like about this collection is that everything is in.. well packs! And the packaging is not TACKY!! which seems to be the issue with the Venemous Villains collectiong (In my opinion). So I am very eagerly looking forward to this collection!!

I am mainly interested in the blushers! I am a huge blush fan so hehehe. :P I really like the bag that the brushes come in too! I just can't wait to check this collection out once it's in stores!

Soo.. what I want to know is that... Are you guys are excited about this collection as I am? What do you guys look forward to the most?! What do you guys plan on getting? What are you guys lusting over?! Please let me know via the comments!! ^_^

Anyway~ This is it!

I'll speak to you all soon ^_^

Models Prefer Pallete Reviews

Hello everybody!

A lot of people have asked me to review products that are Australian branded/made/owned so here it is. Haha

Models Prefer is an Australian Brand I think. I don't think it is sold anywhere else outside of Australia?

Anyway, Models Prefer is a really cheap brand, their make-up palettes are mainly all under $10AUD! Crazy right?
I picked up two palettes the other day at priceline since they were so cheap, it made me curious!

I've never seen Models Prefer anywhere else but Priceline. I may be wrong but I think they MIGHT have it at Target :)

Anyway, I picked these two:

DSC_4715

The one on the left was $6.99AUD and the one on the right was $4.99. So I thought to myself, "why not? If they're shit, it was only $12 all together!" So I bought it.

I already own one models prefer palette before this one and the one I own was quite impressive so I had high expectations for these two.

Here are swatches of the 10 colour palette:

DSC_4706
DSC_4713

It feels like I had to swatch the product 100 times to get it to show up!! The pigmentation of the 'matte' colours are truely horrible! The only one that showed up will would be the metallic sheen colours! The palette included blushes in it.. but the blushes were also fail >.<
This palette has a lot of colours. Colourful and then neutral. This was probably the only good thing about this palette.
And after all the rubbing and swatching... this was what happened:

DSC_4711

It left behind disgusting chalky fall out -_-"
So here are my verdict:

Price: 5/5
Quality: 2/5
Colour Variation: 5/5
Packaging: 2/5
Pigmentation: 2/5

Overall, I think you can skip this $7 purchase and save up for something better. Such as save up another $18 and get a GOOD inglot palette!!

And here are swatches of the 5 colour palette. It is the warm eyeshadow and blush palette.

DSC_4703
DSC_4704

The colours of this palette is more 'me' as it is pinky/purpley/gold and I like that combination! The pigmentation of the palette was a bit better than the previous one. This palette was $4.99. It was okay, but it's not something I would re-purchase in any case. The shadows also left a chalky fallout behind after swatching it. You can see it in the very first photo.

So my verdict for this palette is:

Price: 5/5
Quality: 2/5
Colour Variation: 5/5
Packaging: 2/5
Pigmentation: 3/5

I am truly disappointed in these palettes. I don't recommend that you go out and buy these just because they are cheap. I would recommend you to save your money and save a little bit more and go out and buy something more worth it.

These palettes would be best as presents to your little nieces! LOL Little girls who like to mess around with makeup, other than that. Save your money ladies!

Anyway, this is all! I shall talk to you in my next post ^^

Love,
Cat. xox
